Christmas countdown - Day 15 & 16. Ornaments

Hi!

Today I wanted to share two easy ideas for decoration. Both can be made in no time with the fabric and wool scraps you have at hand. No perfection is required. They will be even better if are not perfect.

Birdies
There are a lot of bird ideas on the Internet. However I chose this one. There is a pattern included but you don't really need one. You can make it in any size or form you like.

Stars
Again there are many sizes and shapes. I'd prefer this one (pattern included).

3/Christmas countdown - Day 3

2/Christmas countdown - Day 2

Scroll down for English

Today's post is again from Dessi and Sunday Bake Club. She shares a very easy to do Christmas tree.

What you need:
A tree
A package of store bought pretzels or cookies
Some colorful yarn or ribbons

Cut the ribbon into long enough pieces. Tie each pretzel with a piece of ribbon. Attach to the Christmas tree.

Voila!

Christmas countdown - Day 1. Advent calendar from positive affirmations and cookies

Today is the official start of our Christmas Countdown. To honer the new month, Dessi suggests a simple, yet very nice, idea about a sweet version of an advent calendar.

Why not start the day with a positive thought and a cookie? It's a very easy to make idea.

Make 24 cookies (more if you like to try them hot form the oven such as I do). Then print 24 positive affirmations from your favourite site or just create them. Wrap a cookie and affirmation together and tie nicely in scrap paper. Find a brunch long enough to accommodate them all. Start each day with a smile, cookie form the brunch, and positive affirmation. During the day, think of the affirmation often, repeat it to yourself, feel it. That's how Christmas should feel too.

Find the original post (in Bulgarian only but the picture are well explaining the process) here.

Come visit tomorrow for another DIY idea.

If you want some cookie recipes go to Sunday Bake Club.

Merry Christmas!

Happy Friday! Here is the first blog-post form our Christmas countdown – Your handmade Christmas in 24 steps. Dessi from Sunday Bake Club and I, the person behind Lissana, will be sharing our Christmas preparation this year.

So the year’s end is near and we are getting impatient for some Christmas! What’s a better way to count the days that pass than with an advent calendar? I love the idea of having 25 little surprised that I can open daily and enjoy with my family. So, here is my suggestion and tutorial for making your own advent calendar.
